Congratulations
to the Winners of the
WordBiz E-book Naming Contest!
137 WordBiz readers took the time to recommend titles for this
new e-book report about effective e-newsletters. Then, in the
second round of the contest, nearly 1,100 WordBiz subscribers
voted on four of their suggested titles:
The Art & Science of E-newsletters
Inside Secrets to Creating Magnetic E-newsletters: Get Opened, Get Read, Get Results
How to Profit From Your E-newsletter: Get Opened, Get Read, Get Results
E-newsletter Publishing from A to Z
The two winners below are the authors of the titles or sub-titles
which received the most votes:
Michel
Fortin: Inside Secrets...
Tina Behnke: Get Opened. Get Read. Get Results.
The
suggestion that got the third most votes was from Patricia
Hader: E-newsletter Publishing From A to Z. It's not in the final
title, but it expresses clearly what the e-report covers.
Each of the three winners gets a FREE digital copy of this report.
If
you're wondering how we tallied the votes from 1,078 subscribers...
I used AskDatabase.com, a cool new database service
that parsed each vote (including the "enter your own"
titles) to come up with a keyword density.
ASK Database
identified the following phrases as having the highest keyword
density:
e-newsletters opened read results
inside secrets creating
Following
a suggestion from several readers, I changed the word "Inside"
to Insider. And voila: a winning title for this new
e-book report:
Insider Secrets of Profitable E-Newsletters: Get Opened.
Get Read. Get Results.
Sincere thanks to everyone who participated!
P.S.
Here's what WordBiz reader Robert Tolmach has to say about
the titles above:
None
of these is memorable. Too lengthy; too many words that
appear in too many book titles.
For instance, Amazon lists 1334 books with the title, The
Art and Science of; 165 books starting with How to
Profit From; 131 that begin with Inside Secrets
and 555 with From A to Z. Banal! Cliché!
Perhaps someone should write The Art and Science of How
to Profit from the Inside Secrets from A to Z.
Be
snappy, and use: E-newsletters: Get Opened, Get Read,
Get Results or be memorable and use: E-newsletters
for E-veryone.

Great
feedback, Robert. But I'm going to try the longer title. Insider
Secrets may be overused but I'm hoping customers will find
it compelling. And heck, only 131 competing titles on Amazon...
