Direct
response tips from The Big Seminar TWO
Attending
The Big Seminar in San Francisco in August, 2003 was (truly) a mind-altering three-day
experience. First, I met dozens of incredibly sharp, savvy professionals
- many of them former execs with ad agencies and corporate marketing departments.
And many of them veterans at direct response marketing.
Sneak a peek at my photos (with
Alexandria Brown, Alex Mandossian, Robert Middleton
and Jeff Mulligan). After you click through, scroll down to see
the stunning pics I took from a helicopter ride over San Francisco.
Your
visitors will beg to buy from you
Second, I learned there is a more powerful way to sell online. It leverages
the personal, one-to-one nature of the medium and makes each visitor to
your site beg to buy your product or service.
It's called
direct response marketing. And you've seen it all over the place on the
Web. But you don't need to use shrill sales copy making in-your-face
claims on one long endlessly scrolling page!!!!! (Yes, with multiple
exclamation points, multiple different fonts and other copy conventions
that make me shudder.)
Improve
conversion and increase sales on your site
Many of these direct response techniques can be adapted for a mainstream,
B2B (business to business) audience.
Your notes from The Big Seminar were so good, I just threw
away my own! (I couldn't read mine anyway.) You're a meticulous note
taker, and I hope you follow me around to ALL the seminars I go to
and share your notes. ; )

Queen
Note: Ali is speaking at The Big Seminar in Orlando, FLA on Friday March 19, 2004! I met her in San Francisco and yes, she's even more gorgeous than her photo.

I picked up dozens of specific tips and tactics you can use to improve
conversion and increase sales on your site. Doesn't matter whether you
work for a Fortune 1000 company, a non-profit organization or a medium-sized
business. You can still create the same sense of urgency that prompts
visitor actions.

I spent three days and $2,000 to attend this event in San Francisco (Aug.
22 - 25, 2003). I'd love to share what I learned with you. So here's
my offer. To help me recoup costs and to help you improve conversion
to sales, leads or whatever the business goals for your site are, you
can download my seminar notes for only US $29.

...for 1.5% of the cost of attending the seminar
Twenty-nine dollars adds up to a measly one and a half percent of the
cost of the conference. A pretty good deal, don't you think?
You get the high points extracted from three information-packed days
- without leaving your desk! Plus some juicy tidbits about some of the
speakers. Print out or read onscreen so you can click through on all the
resource links I include.
And yes, these are notes (organized, edited and formatted for easy reading).
This is not a polished, final report. A report on how to adapt direct
response techniques for corporate or B2B sites is in the pipeline for
the WordBiz store. But it will cost a whole lot more than $29.
